"We're going to wait until the holidays are over to put our home on the market." Every real estate agent hears this during this time of year. Then the new year comes and homes start trickling in on the market, which means more competition for those selling. So is real estate just dead this time of year? Nothing going on? No. Closings still happen every day. As a matter of facrt, we closed on a home last week and again on one earlier this week.
The sellers who have their homes on the market have very little competition right now, this means that the buyers out there don't have a lot to choose from, and the serious, have to buy now buyers are making offers. Check out this article here, interesting stuff.
